Several types of Elections will conduct in the United States of America. Those several types classified into Two kinds these two types will conduct both nationally and Local Elections.

National level Elections:

Federal Elections:

The Federal Elections also include Presidential Elections, senate Elections, House of Representatives Elections, and Governor Elections in the Country of United States.

Presidential Elections:

  • The Election of presidential Election also works to elect both President and Vice- President.
  • Hence, indirectly the Citizens of the US will elect both President and Vice- president.
  • The US Electorate will cast their vote to the Electoral college in the type of Presidential Election.
  • The President and Vice- President, elected by the Electoral college
  • Both the President and the Vice-president will serve the country for continues four years.
  • The Elections will hold once in every respective four years.
  • In the US, the last Elections conducted in the year 2016. So, the next Presidential Elections will run in 2020, November.

Congressional Elections:

The Country of US congress has Two different houses, one represents by Senators, and the House of Representatives represents the other. 

Senate Elections:

  • In the US, the total seats available are 100; out of these to every individual party, 2 Senate seats will distribute.
  • The Senate seat lifetime is for six years
  • The 100 seats of Senates classified into three classes.
  • The Senate Elections will conduct in every two years
  • In each Senate Election, one class from three classes will participate in Elections.

House of Representative:

  • In the Election type House of Representatives, the total members of 435, the term for House of Representatives is two years.
  • The Elections will hold once in every two years
  • The Election will conduct after 1st November, only during Even

Governor Elections:

  • Each state and each Territory will have separate Governors.
  • The Governor will act as a Commander and also Chief and Chief Executive of the State.
  • In the US, five states are of Lieutenant Governors.

Local Elections:

The local Elections will include County Elections, Mayor Elections and City Elections in the country of United States.
