In India, Voter ID card is the most important and necessary government-issued document for Indians. This card acts like the photo identity proof for all Indians. Now Central Government of India provides online services through NVSP (National voters service portal). Now applicants can apply voter ID card online. Previous days people need to visit any election camp or booth along with the required documents.

Eligibility to Get New Voter ID Card:

  • Applicant must be the permanent citizen of Indian
  • Applicant age should be above 18 years from the date of application

Required Documents for applying for a Voter ID card through online:

If you are applying NVSP voter ID card form online then scan the below mentioned documents and files should be below 100kb

  • Address proof: Passport, Driving license, Ration card, Bank passbook, Resident Certificate, Utility bills like telephone, water, electricity, gas etc
  • Recent passport size photograph
  • Age proof: Driving license, pan card, passport, school leaving certificate, Birth certificate, aadhar card etc

Apply for Voter card application from NVSP portal:

  • Visit the NVSP portal
  • Then click on the Apply online for registration of new voter/due to shifting from AC option
  • Then you will redirect to NVSP in form 6 and this application form will available in two languages like one is regional language also English
  • Now fill the application form with required information like applicant name, a name of father, mother, husband, gender, date of birth, state, assembly, address etc
  • If in case of the applicant have any physical disabilities like Visual impatient, speech and hearing disability or any other then choose related option
  • Applicant should maintain the valid email ID and mobile number to get application updates
  • The upload required scanned documents and click on submit button
  • After successful submission you will receive reference ID through SMS and Email also
  • Booth officers may come to your house to verify all documents and confirm your application
  • You will receive your new voter ID through the post for the mentioned address within 30 days from application
